Oh hey!

As you may already know, I've been working with companies for years to improve their systems and processes. The premise is that they spend thousands per month to improve parts of their business and they end up 5-10x their investment (sometimes more) in tangible, measurable ways. I love this work (hire me so I can do more).

An interesting part of this process is the genesis of an idea in companies. It might be the founder attending a conference, a manager listening to a podcast or a new hire reading a book and seeing ways to improve. These pivotal moments sometimes lead to someone choosing to upend a process and try something new. Not scientific, just inspiration...a wing and a prayer.

Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it doesn't work but they end up doing the same thing 2 years later because they forgot what's been tried.

Enter... boom boom boom... the Workflow Map. The thing that will catch the lightning in a bottle of inspiration and give you the ability to run it as an experiment in your business. You note down what you tried, how it worked and whether you could tweak the experiment to try and make it work.

An example might be starting an email newsletter to improve your lead-generation process. How many emails did you send? What voice and tone did you use? Subject lines? Click-through rates? Everything gets noted down and each of these Experiments gets linked to a part of your Process.

Over time, you end up finding out that you should probably schedule a meeting between a new hire and their manager on Day 1 at 2pm. You should probably email monthly and include links to free resources...or not. You're running simple experiments that get planned at your monthly meetings. Your team has added 10 new experiments to consider and you're approving one, with concrete time & money investment, to run next month.

If you invest an hour or two upfront and a few hours each month, it will improve your business in the most strategic way possible. I'd guarantee it if I could but most of this is up to you.
